A bomb blast has occurred in the university town of Zaria, in Kaduna state, the latest in the terrorist attacks in recent days in Nigeria.
The latest blast occurred in Sabongari area of the city, where non-indigenous settlers live.
The extent of casualties or damage yet unknown.
On Monday night, a teenage female suicide bomber had imploded near a famous mosque in the city of Kano, the largest city north of Nigeria. Police spokesman Magaji Majiya said the girl’s target was likely the Umar Ibn Al-Khattab mosque and that she was the only casualty.
The attack in Kano followed similar ones in Jos, and villages in Borno and Yobe states.
