The Coalition United of Political Parties, CUPP has acclaimed that voting out President Muhammadu Buhari is a patriotic service and Nigerians have resolved to do just that.
This was confidently made public, Monday in a Press Release issued and signed by the CUPP’s 1st National Spokesperson, Ikenga Imo Ugochinyere.
According to statement, this might not be unconnected with the immense pleasure CUPP has received regarding the Pan-Nigerian endorsement of the opposition consensus candidate Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.
The Secretariat of the CUPP was seen bubbling, as the entire leadership of Afenifere, Northern Elders Forum, Ohanaeze Ndigbo, PANDEF have jointly and severally endorsed Alhaji Atiku Abubakar of PDP over the APC Presidential candidate, Muhammadu Buhari.
In what the CUPP describes as one huge and soothing fatal blow to the ambition of President Buhari, it said it is not too late for him to have a rethink.
“It is not yet too late for the President to call it quits for the sake of the progress and wellbeing of Nigeria before Nigerians subject him to the most embarrassing and humiliating defeat in Nigeria’s political history.
“President Buhari had only one quality which was packaged for him and sold to Nigerians which has since been unveiled and Nigerians now know is a façade. Nigerians are no longer in doubt that the acclaimed integrity of the President was only political, a contraption hurriedly put together for the purpose of 2015 election.”
The statement further reiterated that the reverberations of the endorsement of Atiku Abubakar, there have been serious political quakes in the Buhari camp.
“This momentous endorsement is the beginning of the cracking of President Buhari and his APC led Federal Government like crackers biscuit by Alhaji Atiku Abubakar. President Buhari has failed and Nigerians know that another term of four years for him will lead to irreparable damage to the fabric of the country hence the general resolve to show him the way out and be assured of better life.”
At the looks of things politically, the CUPP in its statement candidly redirects the President and his party’s thinking of landslide winning at the forthcoming poll, unless they set for manipulations by rigging.
“Many more critical stakeholders will also in the coming days desert this failed President and pile more pressure on him and his clueless Party. Nigeria is greater than any individual no matter how highly placed.”
In a wholly comparison, President Buhari, according to the CUPP is a divisive ruler, while Alhaji Atiku Abubakar is a unifier, a leader who understands the richness in the diversity of Nigeria and has a plan to get Nigeria working again.
“President Buhari attends his lackluster rallies and does not lay down any plans. He has not engaged with any professional body or group within the country and he has not addressed any intellectual group extempore. He is hiding from himself and Nigerians are aware, hence the decision and unshaken resolve to ease him out of office on the 16th of February.”
